Nobody big/important/famous does the 'Illuminati'. It is (today's lodges) something to do for older types who like silly things like golf and fishing, and even they don't do anything much at all. Not on the surface, they probably take a croupier out for a drink now and then ... The freemasons 'proper' have been disbanded for around two hundred years - but take a look and check it all out. "Illuminati, Greek illumination, name given to those who submitted to Christian baptism. Those who were baptized were called "illuminati" or "illuminated ones" by the Ante-Nicene clergy, on the assumption that those who were instructed for baptism in the Apostolic faith had an enlightened understanding.
