Alcohol causing brain damage - why was this not dealt with?

A child was born severely brain-damaged  because the mother was neckin a bottle of vodka a day - why was this allowed? Where was her social worker? Where was the doctor? I had 2 glasses of wine on my birthday when I was pregnant and I never forgave myself - also smoked two fags a day - doctors said 'it could be more harmful to stop smoking than to carry on' was worried about withdrawals and distressing a baby already being 'attacked' by violent, unwanted sex - horrible - but poor little mites - what inhabits the minds of these nutters to think it's OK to torture an innocent like this?  Why why why...

Dear Malcolm Rifkind,

first I'd like to offer my sincere commiserations at stepping down from
the leadership challenge, I am deeply sorry for the feelings it must
have invoked in you.

Please, when you have the time, would you read through my previous
correspondence and be kind enough to reply and to help us?

I would have liked to have met you (*Earls Court Square) but
I am housebound.

I would appreciate your time deeply, the main points being, my son is
living with a crack-cocaine abuser, a known child abuser and a benefit
fraudster as well as a woman-beater, all this is documented, so why my
son isn't living with me is a mystery to anyone with common sense, RBKC
social services are culpable for any harm coming to my son.

London Councils - reminder - meh meh meh

Dear London Councils,

Do you have any policy/recorded information on how much councils
are allowed to spend on private legal
services/barristers/solicitors brought in privately or is it at the
discretion of the legal department involved?

I'm asking due to RBKC's legal department paying 10k per day (TEN
THOUSAND POUNDS PER DAY) for a QC to oppose an unrepresented
DISABLED parent when the parent was at a tribunal to win her child
an electronic communications device worth over one hundred pounds
(as well as try to remove her child from what she considered an
abusive institution) - she still won the device but sadly the
schools (Jigsaw and Treehouse) refused to use it and the child
remained without it (why would a special needs school like that,
want to stop or prevent a child from speaking or communicating
supported by rbkc SEN Dept?)

RBKC also sent it's entire Special Needs Department heads to oppose
this unrepresented disabled mother who was attempting to gain a
communication device for her child) as well as all the head staff
of the schools attending.

Why would they want to stop a child from speaking?

Anyway - do you have any policy/information on the spending
of privately paid Legal Services by London Councils, what is the
policy or is there one, that regulates spending/over-spending by
local councils for outside legal services please?

Ten thousand pounds per day for a private barrister seems
excessive.

Also, do you have any policy for London Councils/ RBKC regarding
'bringing the council into disrepute' policy/training/information?

Some feel that management at RBKC particularly would rather maim
residents than allow rbkc to have complaints filed or justice done
in favour of a resident with a valid complaint? It does seem that
the council need to appear to be right NO MATTER WHAT, and wondered
where this inhuman, horrific abuse comes from?

Your request has now been considered, but I regret that London Councils does not hold any information in respect of the above request.

You also asked 'do you have any policy for London Councils/ RBKC regarding 'bringing the council into disrepute' policy/training/information?

This request has also been considered but I regret that London Councils does not hold any information in respect of this request either.

London Councils is not a local authority but rather a body which represents the 33 London boroughs. London Councils does not have its own code of conduct for Members. Members are bound by their respective local authority's Members' code of conduct while acting as a representative of their authority on any London Councils Member Body. We do have a Code of Conduct for our Officers but it does not apply to the Officers working for Kensington and Chelsea.

These requests for information are about policies which, where they are in place, are approved by individual Councils so you will need to refer your request to the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

If you have any queries or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Dear FOI-DPA Complaints,

Thanks, before you go, please clarify which parts of which 'Code of
Conduct for Officers' does not apply to Kensington and Chelsea or
RBKC and which departments does it not apply to and which
legislation says that such a Code of Practice should not apply to
one (is it just rbkc or are there other councils the Code of
Practice 'doesn't apply to'? Why doesn't apply? If it doesn't apply
to rbkc, why does it apply to other councils?) - specific council,
in this case, RBKC?

'We do have a Code of Conduct for our Officers but it does not
apply to the Officers working for Kensington and Chelsea.' Why not?

Dear Ms R,

We have a Code of Conduct which is an internal policy which applies to London Councils staff. London Councils is a membership organisation which all the London Boroughs belong to but it employs its own staff and has its own terms and conditions of employment. London Councils does not develop Human Resources procedures which apply to individual Boroughs.

I apologise if this distinction was not clear before.

Kensington and Chelsea may have a Code of Conduct which applies to their Officers and/or Members but we do not hold that information.

I'm sorry to disturb you but I feel the Hampshite Police may be
supporting domestic terrorism  that may prove a gigantic threat to our
national security due to the mindset that has removed a terrified and
cancerous child from glaringly loving parents.

There is no sense detectable, in removing a frightened child in pain
from his parents and siblings. It smacks of extreme sadism, not seen to
this degree since RBKC conspired to take my son Jamie from me in 2001.

It's a miscarriage of justice before it's begun and a grave shame on
our justice system.

 Here are the signs of emotional abuse:

'Emotional Abuse Signs - 5 Significant Subtle Signs of Emotional Abuse

Lack of "emotional safety" is the number one indicator of a potentially
dangerous relationship. It may seem subtle, yet it is ever so
significant with respect to your well-being.

When you have emotional safety, it's palatable. You can feel it in
every fiber of your being. When it's missing, you may feel its loss.
Or, you may simply know of it not being there by the presence of these
five glaring signs.

1) Not honoring your privacy If something is in a drawer, it's in a
drawer away from public display. Someone having no business in that
drawer may be drawn to explore its contents. And further, this
uninvited explorer may take issue with what is discovered. Beware of
these signs of emotional abuse.

2) Not respecting your boundaries If you say "no," will it be the end
of a discussion or the beginning of a negotiation? When "no" means
"maybe" and becomes a challenge to convert into a "yes," beware of
emotional abuse! You may be enticed to surrender your initial
preferences simply to divert the consequences of your failure to
comply.

3) Not appreciating your experience and/or your feelings If your inner
world is not noticed, or factored into decisions involving both of you,
beware of this non-empathic partner. Your inner world may interest him
or her when and only when, it serves their needs. Having an interest in
your experience merely because it's an expression of you is not to be
expected with an emotional abuser.

4) Not being willing to have mutual involvement in your interests
Mutual involvement doesn't mean equal time doing your interests verses
theirs. Rather, it is reciprocal "interest" (or acceptance) in that
which interests you. The emotional abuser does not show an interest (or
awareness, understanding, or involvement) in your interests because
these activities or things please you. Instead, he or she shows an
interest only as it serves him/her.

5) Not honoring you for who and what you are. Intentionally seeking to
alter who and what you are to suit one's own preferences, rather than
accepting you as you are, is the most glaring of these signs. (Be
mindful of the distinction between someone's efforts to alter you to
suit their needs verses offering constructive criticism to contribute
to your growth.) The emotional abuser will seek to mold you to become
who and what he/she desires.

While each one of these undermines emotional safety, in combination
they make it impossible. If you encounter this cluster of signs, you
are probably looking at an emotionally abusive relationship. Seek to
understand the constellation of symptoms defining intimate partner
abuse before the emotional abuse spirals out of control.

I'm concerned that our Police have been very badly trained indeed and
rather than gaining seniority through merit, have managed it purely on
fear mongering due to flawed NLP training, for far, far too long (see
