hello : )

Please explain a visit I had from an op today? He said that 'a row of
shops' about 200m away was having a flood, but that it affected my
particular flat? How on earth can that be the case?

Thank you for your email. I’m sorry you’ve been informed there is a leak near your property, I appreciate how distressing this must be for you.

If the leak is found to be on the main supply to your property, your water pressure may be affected. As you’re aware water pressure is affected by how much water is being used by other customers and the pressure can vary at different times of the day. Pressure is normally higher late at night when very little water is being taken from our network and most people's taps are turned off. In the morning when people are taking a bath or shower, or watering their garden on a hot evening, there is a bigger demand for water which can cause low pressure.
